PostLinks Get Rich Scheme – Website Hunt

So if you have bee reading the first part to this little experiment then you will know that im trying to produce a get-rich scheme from using PostLinks.com as my source of fresh constant content and a stream of revenue for letting the posters use my sites SEO weight for links.

Im not expecting to get-rich quick really, im hoping for a new revenue stream to appear that will be stable as well as produce a valuable site to sell (for once I get bored with it).

Website Hunt 11th Nov 2011

So as I have already established in the first part of this series, Im trying to find a PR5 site to buy that is cheap that I can use to attract the most lucrative posts on PostLinks.com. With this in mind the site needs to show that it is a strong PageRank 5 and will stay as one for as long as possible with a good chance of increasing as content is added.

Looking through Flippa today at the websites that are for sale above PR5 reveals a lot of gems that are priced above the $1000 mark. Im looking to spend less than $500 on something that is generic or technology themed. This is to attract as many posts on PostLinks.com leading to more monthly credits from my PR5 status.

A few sites seem to pop up that grab my interest. The first is a website set up only a couple of months ago that offers free “covers” for Facebook profiles. This has attracted high power links from blogs and news sites that have written about this site. With this in mind the pages that have the links could stay around a long time and increase PageRank themselves feeding this site link weight. It is currently bidding at $265 so il keep my eye on it.

Yesterday didn’t really rock my world with the Flippa results so I had a look today to see if anything new has popped up that is of interest.

Again, searching using the Advanced Search I specified that I wanted PR5 or more sites and hit Search. As im a bit more ‘switched on’ today I started to notice some dodgy looking sites and 1 that stuck out as a possible winner.

I left comments on 2 PR6 sites that had no basis as to why they would be that high. I looked at the Way Back Archive for these 2 sites and discovered that they had been aut-redirecting at some point to another high PageRank site. This is how they managed to absorb the PR, it wouldn’t be long until the sites drop to PR0 again and be worthless so I left my warning comment and left.

The only site that did impress me was an ex-company site with a few powerful links to it, one of which was a PR7 home page link and PR2 which explains why it would be a PR6 and should stay as one. Its history shows that it has been used as an auto-blog for a couple of years so anything I do similar shouldn’t hurt the site. With a Buy-It-Now of $650 and it bidding at $250 it was definitely worth watching.
